Spanish gelding Cruzado - Unfortunately I have to part with my beautiful Spanish gelding for personal reasons.
About him Breed: Cruzado Born: May 2015 Size: approx. 155cm Suitability: leisure horse, ground work, side-horse with lots of exercise Last vaccination/check/teeth: 07/24 Papers: Spanish passport incl. pedigree Bare hoofed
Stable: He is familiar with both open stables and box stabling, but I would like him to be kept with lots of exercise and other horses. He ranks high in the group and is very playful. He needs play partners and brings dynamism to the group with his playful and active nature.
Health: I do not know his complete medical history. He was checked last summer and only slight stomach ulcers were found and treated. No symptoms or problems since then. He has undergone regular osteopathic treatment, most recently at the beginning of 2024. He runs normally and has had nothing else known. AKU possible.
Character: He is a typical Spanish horse. He has a temperament, is sensitive but also dominant. He is extremely obedient when working on the ground. Once you have won him over and are in harmony with him, he is a great partner. He is cuddly and playful and likes to be curiously involved in stable work.
Training/riding: He has been ridden in all 3 gaits. Listens to voice commands. Jumping/pole work is not his favorite activity. I rate him at A level. He does great with long rein work. I have started free work. Knows double lungeing. He's not really into arena work (riding), he's rather impulsive and sometimes argues. He's great in the field. Not a walker. Has a pleasant pace. He is demanding towards his rider. He demands empathy, but also assertiveness. Especially at the beginning, he likes to test things and can buck. You have to invest time in a basis with him, then you can have a really great leisure partner who will enchant you with his sweet nature and beautiful looks. At the moment I have not been able to train him for a few weeks due to my health problems and my pregnancy.
I would like a home for him with lots of exercise and experience. I don't think competitions or even schooling would be for him. He is also not a beginner's horse.
Inquiries: I am happy to answer questions and provide further information and we are also very happy to get to know each other. However, I would like to have some information about the prospective buyer and future potential home in advance.
Transportation possible by arrangement. I will give him to his new home with some accessories.
