Great Dutch Warmblood mare looking for a permanent home - We are looking for a lifelong home for Joy, a wonderful 5-year-old Dutch mare (approx. 160cm).
As she is too impetuous with our old, handicapped horses, she unfortunately cannot stay with us. Even though Joy is higher-ranking, she is playful and always attentive and extremely people-oriented. She loves to be petted, groomed and otherwise kept busy for hours and learns quickly!
As we took her over from the previous owners with a knee condition that has almost completely healed, but we don't ride her, Joy is being handed over as a companion horse. However, walks, ground work (no dull, endless lunging!), short (walk) rides are possible and desirable, as Joy is really very people-oriented and likes to have a task. What and how much Joy can do in a few months or years will have to be seen, but it is certain that she is a pure leisure partner and should not be jumped, nor is she a weight carrier!

Joy goes out on her own and in groups, is easy to load and hoof care (she runs well barehoof) is also no problem.

As Joy likes to test her limits because of her age, she will only be given to people with experience with young horses.

Joy will not be sold to riding schools, dealers, breeders, competition riders, children...

Place before price, she will only be sold with a protection contract!

Joy can be sold with bridle, halter and extensive blanket accessories.

We keep Joy in an open stable and in the summer she is on pasture 24/7 with hay (she is not particularly easy to feed at the moment). We would like to keep her in a similar position in the future.

Despite her small handicap, Joy is a really wonderful, lovely mare who deserves to be kept in a herd and kept busy!

If you have any questions or are interested in Joy, please get in touch, we don't bite :) !
