Beautiful gelding seeks best place - With a heavy heart I am looking for a new home for my beautiful Oldenburg gelding "Check it out".
Checki was born on 05.05.2010 and, with his height of approx. 1.71m, also covers taller riders well (but is not a weight carrier!).
He is a well-behaved horse, is easy to handle everywhere and knows all kinds of animals. He's good in the saddle (shod at the front) and always well-behaved at the vet.
He is not a beginner's horse when it comes to riding. He needs a rider who gives him confidence and doesn't let him get rattled. In dressage work, you sometimes have to be assertive, as he tends to stare at the arena and sometimes does movements to the side or turns. Unfortunately, he sometimes sees ghosts. You should therefore be saddle fit.
He goes out alone and in groups and never has a problem going first. He knows dogs as riding companions and is completely relaxed. He is not a runaway and does not know uncontrolled shredding in the field. Every now and then he can jump for joy. I have also ridden him bareback or with a neck ring.
Checki is only ridden bitless with an LG bridle, both in the field and in the arena. He responds better to this than with a snaffle and can always be regulated.
Checki responds very well to voice aids both in the saddle and on the ground.
He has a condition that does not restrict him as a leisure horse.
He is currently kept in a mixed herd during the day (he gets on equally well with mares and geldings) and in a paddock box at night. This is where he feels most comfortable.
